Deadline: July 16, 2021.

Young researchers, early-career scientists and students are invited to participate in a one-day ‘Landslide Mapathon’ to be organized by Himalayan Risk Research Institute (HRI) under CDRI Fellowship Program with the financial support from Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) and technical support from U-INSPIRE Nepal.

Interested participants are required to fill up the attached form. During the event, participants will be able to learn different platforms and sources for mapping landslides. Participants will learn to explore satellite images, identify the sources, analyze probable causes of occurrence, and methods of marking landslides in GIS. At last, participants will mark landslides in a given location, and share their experience and learning among other participants.
